The Step Up to Nursing initiative is a workplace-based, wage-supported learning model that provides education to New Brunswickers who are interested in advancing in their nursing careers.
The initiative will be offered in Saint John and Bathurst. Both initiatives will be primarily delivered in-person with some online learning. However, participants must be able to attend in-person classes and clinical training.
The initiative offers participants the opportunity to work in the healthcare system while attending school.
This initiative is a partnership between the departments of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour, Social Development and Health, the New Brunswick Community College, Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, University of New Brunswick, Université de Moncton, Horizon Health Network, Vitalité Health Network and the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes.
